While with Browning Day, Ryan and Mark led the multi-year planning and design effort for the $128M Doral Central Park in Doral, Florida, which is currently under construction.  Understanding the significance of such an investment, the City of Doral tasked Ryan with leading a team to update the city-wide parks system master plan, and ultimately, the development of a schematic design plan for the 80-acre urban community park.  This process included programming over 70,000 square feet of indoor recreation space, a $30M competitive outdoor aquatics center, and over $6 million in playscapes, in addition to numerous other passive and active recreation elements. 

Using the parks system master plan as a guide, Ryan assisted the City in developing an implementation and funding strategy for Doral Central Park and multiple other high-priority parks projects across the city.  Ryan and the Browning Day team worked diligently with the city government and the Trust for Public Land to successfully pass a $150M parks-specific public bond referendum in the fall of 2018, ultimately funding Doral Central Park in a single phase.
