In early 2023, FRMWRK was engaged to develop a comprehensive, innovative, and sustainable master plan for ChoZen; a 34-acre eco-retreat center nestled along the Saint Sebastian River in Sebastian, Fla.  In addition to providing necessary technical guidance, the master plan developed strategies intent on maximizing ChoZen’s capacity for positive societal impact while simultaneously mitigating any potential negative impacts on the natural environment.  The site-based solutions and strategies proposed were intent on improving the human condition by leveraging both the wisdom of the ages and contemporary, place-based strategies borne from the fields of neuroscience and positive psychology which have been empirically proven to improve mental and emotional well-being by facilitating a more intentional and intimate connection with the natural environment.
